They were the world's most dangerous group - and we're edging closer to watching the story of how it all happened.

The first trailer for the eagerly-awaited biopic of N.W.A., entitled, of course, Straight Outta Compton, after their incendiary 1988 debut, was unveiled last night during the TV coverage of the Grammys.

It features an introduction from members Ice Cube and Dr. Dre as they revisit their Compton roots. It's the first on-screen glimpse of Ice Cube's son O'Shea Jackson, Jr., who plays his father in the film - take a look below to see the full clip.

Straight Outta Compton is in cinemas August 14th
