First Trailer For New Nirvana Documentary

The first ever fully-authorised documentary about the life of Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain is coming to UK cinemas next month.

Documentary maker Brett Morgen was given unprecedented access by the singer's family and friends - including Courtney Love and their daughter, Frances Bean - to use never-before-seen home videos, Cobain's personal artwork, interviews, and even unreleased songs.

In fact, the only thing that isn't in Montage of Heck is Dave Grohl, whose interviews the director apparently had to cut because of time restrictions - in the past we'd have cynically raised an eyebrow, given the history of animosity between Love and the Foo Fighters frontman, but they're seemingly on better terms these days.

Come as you are to a cinema near you when it opens in April - and in the meantime watch the trailer below.

Montage of Heck is due to in UK cinemas on 10 April.
