First look at Jane Fonda and Alan Rickman as the Reagans

While the casting of liberal activist Jane Fonda and total English person Alan Rickman as Republican royalty Nancy and Ronald Reagan certainly raised a few eyebrows, our first look at the pair settles any reservations we might have had.

The two are starring in The Butler, a forthcoming drama that stars Forest Whitaker as a butler who served under eight different presidents.

It's filming as we speak and co-star Oprah, who plays Whitaker's wife, tweeted an early look at the pair. We're rather impressed.

The film also features James Marsden and Minka Kelly as John F and Jackie Kennedy, John Cusack as Richard Nixon, Robin Williams as Dwight Eisenhower and Liev Schreiber as Lyndon B. Johnson. This had better be good.

What do you think of the picture? Good casting?

You can see the full one below with director Lee Daniels, best known for making us all feel rotten with Precious.
