Fascinating History Of The MGM Lion Logo

mgm.jpg

If you love films then there are very few things more uplifting than seeing the MGM lion. It has that ability to take you back to long gone bank holidays in front of the telly watching some golden age film where Clark Gable stands around and smirks a lot.

It’s something that’s always been there, unless you happen to be 98, so you never really think about how it was made or how close the cameraman filming the lion might have come to receiving an unwanted tracheotomy from its massive claws.

But some people who have thought about it are YouTube channel Movie Munchies, who have made a very interesting video taking you through the long history of the image.
