Famous film food

When we've exhausted our routine debate about the only correct answer to the question of "what's your favourite film?" (and it's not Shawshank), our preferred aperitif is a discussion of "what's your favourite film food?". And we don't mean salted or toffee popcorn.

Federico Mauro knows what we're about. The Italian photographer and filmophile's most recent project pays homage to the most iconic food and drink from the world of celluloid. His minimalist photographs stir up fond memories (and hunger pangs) of classic movie moments, from Goodfella's razor-sliced garlic to Big's unpalatable foie gras.

We've picked our favourites from Mauro's project. Head to his website for more.
