Ever wondered what Tony Montana would look like knocking back Vodka Red Bulls in a branch of your local Whetherspoons? Or what Robocop’s weighty feet would sound like patrolling the sticky floors of Oceana?
We thought not. For if you were to picture a dreamy nightclub in which every badass film character every to have set foot in a discotheque was to show up at, it'd probably look something like Hell’s Club, an epic mashup from video editor Antonio Maria Da Silva which you won't forget in a hurry.
If there’s a purgatory for mad men of cinema, it’s here. Flawlessly traversing genres and eras, we’re presented with a host of iconic characters locking eyes on one another inside this sprawling imaginary nightspot, even those played by the same actor (bet you never thought you’d see Ewan McGregor’s scallywag Renton eyeballing Obi Wan), making for what could well be the best movie mashup ever made.
Inevitably, it wouldn’t be a movie nightclub without some sort shootout and as the tension starts to boil midway through and the likes of Terminator and Blade start to pace about the dancefloor more frantically, whose movements are clearly all overshadowed by John Travolta’s hip flexing, you know all hell is about to break loose.
Whatever the bouncers on this place are being paid, it’s obviously not enough.
