Action-packed New Guardians Of The Galaxy Trailer

After seeing this trailer, you're going to want to go and open your calendar, take out a pen and mark 31 July with the words "Guardians Of The Galaxy".

Why? The latest sneak peek of what Marvel hopes will be its latest golden cinematic franchise come that day is loaded with all-new footage, giving us our first proper look at Rocket, the homicidal raccoon voiced by Bradley Cooper - arguably the most challenging character of the James Gunn film.

Whereas the previous clips had been gag-heavy, the emphasis here is on the action, highlighting some of the inter-space explosions and gunfights that the rowdy band of unlikely heroes, led by Chris Pratt's Han Solo-like Peter Quill, find themselves in, while also managing to plot some of Quill's bittersweet back-story.

We're off to buy a calendar.

Guardians Of The Galaxy is out 31 July
