If you've seen American Gangster already, you'll know that the film contains some of the best performances of both Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe's careers. Easily. If you haven't - what the hell have you been doing for the last eight years?

Even if strip away the vintage cars, the 70s hair and the ostentatious fur coats you've still got 10 pieces of wisdom you can apply to daily life.
