Despite being both a hugely successful author and a much-loved pop culture columnist in Entertaiment Weekly, Stephen King has taken a while to join Twitter.

But at the start of December, King finally created an account and has already amassed over 230,000 followers. Not too shabby.

Although he might be choosing his tweets wisely, he's already come out with some humdingers and after a month, he's become one of our favourite authors to follow. Here are some of best tweets so far...
