The 9 best moments from Bryan Cranston's Reddit AMA with James Franco

Roadkill! Slim Jims! Mashed potatoes!

In a move the cynical might suggest is to distract from the critical pillaging their movie, Why Him?, is currently getting from reviewers, Bryan Cranston and James Franco recently embarked on an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit.

Given the pair’s combined comedy chops – which covers the likes of This is the End, Spring Breakers and, lest we forget, Malcolm in the [chuffing] Middle [!] – the results were suitably hilarious.

Yes, those aforementioned cynics might query why such bants-filled chemistry is vacant from the film itself, which at the time of writing sports a measly 42% on Rotten Tomatoes and isn’t even released in the UK till Boxing Day, but this is 2016 and you’re-free-to-make-your-own-mind-up-if-you-want-to-just-go-to-the-cinema-okay?

In the meantime, here are our nine favourite moments from the duo Redditors have branded the greatest bromance since McKellen and Stewart, Hanks and Wilson and, of course, Kanye and Kanye.

Malcolm in the Middle and Freaks and Geeks revivals were debated

Bryan Cranston found a way to (not so) subtly plug his book

And exactly how close he got to his co-star while filming

It would appear the feeling was mutual

The pair discussed their petrol station picks

...and pizza choices

It was revealed that, when it comes to fan-fiction, Cranston welcomes all comers

Which led to this piece of prose

Ultimately, we learned what a bowl of Bryan Cranston’s vocal chords would taste like
