You mark our words, the inevitable robot uprising is mere months away. The robotic masses are lulling us into a false sense of security with cute news stories, like delivering humans expensive alcohol on demand.

On second thoughts, maybe the uprising won't be so bad after all.

The PR stunt of the incredibly swanky California-based Casa Madrona Hotel & Spa, octo-copters delivered bottles of chilled champaign to the balconies of the hotel's newly opened luxury suites - including the $10,000 a night Alexandrite Suite. Because room service is so 2013.

The Casa Madrona isn't the first to offer an automated booze delivery service: Les Ruinettes, a restaurant in the remote climbs of the Swiss Alps, has its Plus de Bulles champagne delivered in similar fashion.

If someone could wing us over some bacon sandwiches, that would be great.
