Somewhere in Russia right now, we imagine one fellow has parked his bike outside a newsagent and is putting all of his rubles on a lottery ticket.

That man? The lucky so-and-so in this clip, who can be seen pleasantly tootling his steel frame along a pedestrian crossing when a lorry and red saloon car smash into each other at high-speed, seemingly sandwiching him between the automobiles as they career out of control.

Incredibly, the cyclist, almost slowing down and curling up into a defensive ball, remained untouched, like some greater power had decided to give him a free pass as the avalanche of destruction went on around him. That or he’s a missing member of the X-Men.

As to who was at fault for the crash, surely that junction is missing a painted line? We know the Russians are about as well known for their road safety as they are being teetotal, but that is utterly lapse.

And if you thought this guy was lucky, check out our real life Final Destination list here.
