The procrastination clock

Stop putting it all off...

The procrastination clock
22 February 2011

We've all suffered from that horrible feeling that we've got a steadily mounting pile of chores we need to get done. But sometimes, no matter how high the stack might get, we'd just rather watch another episode of Diagnosis Murder or watch 10 more videos of cats falling off work surfaces.

The evil beast that is procrastination has troubled us from an early age, ever since we put down our Crayola and discovered that the world wouldn't end if we just decided to postpone the least appealing tasks.

But a nifty invention is here to provide you with a constant reminder of what you really should be doing. Swedish designer Maria Bergström created the Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda clock which allows you to use different coloured magnets to represent tasks that you need to get done throughout the day.

As time progresses and the chores pile up, the hands push the magnets along and highlight what still needs to be sorted. The piece was recently shown at the Stockholm Furniture Fair and we want to look into getting our own. Well, we'll have a look later. There's a new Cash in the Attic on now...

You can see more of Maria's work here.
