Confidentially marching over a pedestrian crossing is a serious endeavor.

Although if there's one thing more enjoyable than the infinite power you wield by stopping traffic with a single press of a button, it must surely be the luminous little man who guides you across.

Which is why we fully endorse Walking Men worldwide, a series public art installations scattered across major cities worldwide that highlight the national differences of that most resplendent of street guardians.

So far the human-scale collages have brought the varying national icons to life in New York, Sydney and Russia, highlighting exactly what we should expect at many of mankind's busiest intersections as well as reminding us all of the importance of the Green Cross Code - or Orange, if you happen to live in Tokyo.
