Given that the roads around ShortList are a veritable forest of scaffolding, it's fair to say that this nation can 'churn' out buildings. So long as there isn't a cup of tea that needs drinking.

The architectural-obsessed Federico Babina has taken this notion of countries acting as architectural machines one stage further in his latest illustration series, Archimachine.

The national flags of nations have been incorporated into these functional networks of industry and design, placing the iconic structures of countries in playful production lines.

Yes, we're aware that England is only represented by London-based buildings - we've sent Babina a note to remind him of our other great buildings. You can pick up a print of your favourite over at his online shop.
