Beyond the age of 12, LEGO bricks are good for two things: crippling unsuspecting feet and reconstructing the entire world of Star Wars. There's a new set that, if used correctly, can do both.

The biggest brick makers in the business have announced a new addition to their Ultimate Collector Series (think LEGO for dads, or kids with rich dads): this is a 1,996-piece recreation of Boba Fett's Slave I ship - the coolest craft from the original Star Wars series (we could give you our nine-point argument as to why it's cooler than the Millennium Falcon but we don't want to waste your day).

Included amongst the 1,996 pieces are minifigures of Boba Fett, Han Solo and a Storm Trooper, as well as a tiny brick of Solo frozen in carbonite.

Set to cost the better part of £130, the Slave I will hit stores later this autumn and instantly rise to the top of our Christmas lists.
