Rise of the Planet of the Apes was the prequel that no one wanted. So therefore no one expected it to be quite as fantastic as it was. Even still, the improbably titled Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was not a sequel to a prequel that anyone was truly looking forward to.

We were idiots, it turned out. Arriving with little fanfare to become one of the greatest blockbusters of this or any summer, Dawn is a true revelation. To celebrate the release, we asked some of our favourite artists to create a set of posters for the film and the results are here for you to love.
