Griff's Hoverboard for Sale

When watching Back to the Future II in 1989, 2015 felt like a very long way off and the thought of owning a real hoverboard was but a distant dream.

The good news is that you can now get your mitts on Griff Tannen's actual Pitbull Hoverboard, and four years earlier than you thought. The bad news is that it won't be fully-functional. And by that we mean not working.

The board is up for auction as part of Profiles in History's two-day memorabilia sale, which will raise money for Michael J Fox's Foundation for Parkinson's Research, and is estimated to fetch between £9,500 - £13,000

Also up for auction is one of the seven DeLorean cars used in the three movies. The time travelling machine is valued between £250,000 - £400,000, as it is one of only three vehicles that have survived.

But if you can't face forking out the cash for the props you could try your luck at getting hold of Marty McFly's jacket (picture 3) from the original 1985 movie and 1950s cowboy costume (picture 4) from BTTF III.

Note, none of these items will guarantee time travel.
